For approximately 6 years, I had my 1984 DL (I am the original owner) serviced exclusively at Southern California's Largest Volvo dealership. As the dealership expanded, the service quality continually deteriorated. I had used the same dealership mechanic, and my last two service appointments were cancelled at the last minute because I was told he was "overbooked". I was very upset and refused to return. The next day, on my way to work, I noticed a sign which said "The Swedish Mechanic". I stopped in to meet the people. They all seemed very professional, corteus and concerned. What a change! I took the chance and had The Swedish Mechanic perform my missed service. As a result I have been a customer ever since. In all these years, I have not had to return my car for anything that they serviced. For a period of one year, I worked in the high desert area (Barstow), where there was no Volvo service. During the entire year my car ran perfectly through all kinds of weather in the Cajon Pass. I now have 268,000 miles and plan for another 268,000 as long as The Swedish Mechanic continue to be service my car, and as long as I keep getting such great customer service.
